UQef aims to provide endowment for the University of Queensland. UQef is a vehicle for benefactors and businesses to gift capital funds for investment and thereby create substantial recurring revenue for scholarships, research, chairs of learning and other activities that supports excellence in education at the University of Queensland.  

Since inception in 2010 to 30 June 2023, UQef has received gifts of $34.6 million. UQef has made donations and distributions of approximately $36.8 million to support various University of Queensland programs and scholarships. In addition, UQef at 30 June had net assets of over $40 million.
